My name is Ryan Parys and I am proud to be a State Licensed Professional Counselor serving Southeastern Wisconsin for over 15 years in an outpatient mental and medical health clinic helping children, adolescents, adults, and families during times of crisis as well as assisting them through a positive growth mindset. I have dedicated myself to providing authentic and compassionate psychotherapy, accepting clients wherever they are in their lives.

As an undergraduate, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. I earned my Masters of Science Degree in Community Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. I was fortunate to have obtained my clinical licensure experience at Rogers Memorial Hospital Child/Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital. I have also worked extensively with adolescents in a residential treatment setting at Lad Lake Inc.

Throughout my 15 years of practicing psychotherapy, I have provided counseling for individuals and families that have experienced Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorder, ADHD, Grief, Autism Spectrum, Gender Dysmorphia, Adjustment Disorder, and Trauma. I enjoy working with clients of all ages and from every walk of life by providing a safe and therapeutic space in which they are encouraged to accept, thrive, and flourish. My therapeutic approach would best be defined as person-centered. I am committed to engaging clients to share their story and stressors. I also focus on mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy whenever appropriate. I strive to work with clients to set and achieve goals on their journey towards self actualization.

When I am not working with clients I am enjoying my time with family and friends. My amazing wife of 23 years and my incredible teenage son, along with our wonderful 6-month old Golden Retriever, complete my life. I also enjoy spending time hiking, biking, and sports of all kinds.
