Kristen Roberts, LCSW

Hi! Thanks for checking out my bio! I imagine you’re here because a part of you is ready for something to change. I recognize that life can be a lot, and sometimes you just need a space to talk with someone who won’t judge, rush, or dismiss you.

I work with clients ages 10 through adulthood who want to learn how to actually feel their feelings without spiraling, shutting down, overthinking everything, or getting stuck in the same frustrating patterns. Together, we’ll work on quieting unhelpful thoughts, managing stress and anxiety, and finding creative ways to help you feel more like yourself again.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, school-related challenges, LGBTQ+ issues, and stress management. My approach blends creative therapy, CBT, and ACT — because your healing journey is yours to cultivate. I’m also trained in Trauma Sensitive Trauma Centered Yoga for clients interested in incorporating movement and body-based healing into therapy. I am currently pursuing certification in Sandtray Therapy, which reflects my passion for
creative, experiential approaches to healing and self-expression.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay in 2007 and my Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 2008. Since then, I’ve built my practice around creating supportive, practical, and empowering experiences for clients of all ages.

When I’m not in my therapist role, you can usually find me looking for balance the same way I encourage my clients to. With volleyball games, coffee in hand, yoga, time outside in nature, and making memories with my family. I believe healing happens both in the hard conversations and in the moments that help us feel grounded, connected, and human.

My goal is to create a space that feels safe, comfortable, authentic, and has a touch of humor and fun. Therapy can be hard work, but it doesn’t have to feel impersonal or intimidating. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, burnt out, or just tired of carrying everything alone, I’d love to help you move forward in a way that feels realistic and meaningful for you.
