Caura Winters, LPC-IT

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor In Training (LPC-IT) with a passion for supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2022 and my Master’s in Professional Counseling from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in May 2026.

I completed my clinical internship at Counseling and Consulting Professionals in Green Bay, where I worked with a wide range of clients, including those experiencing perinatal and postpartum mental health challenges. Through both my clinical experience and personal journey into parenthood, I have developed a strong passion for supporting individuals during the perinatal and postpartum period, while also continuing to work with a variety of concerns across the lifespan.

As both a therapist and a parent, I understand how overwhelming and isolating life can feel at times for mothers, fathers, caregivers, teens, and individuals navigating everyday stressors. I also know that reaching out for support can feel intimidating, but therapy does not have to be that way.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to you. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Activation, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Person Centered approaches, while also incorporating strengths based, trauma informed, and mindfulness based techniques. Rather than giving advice, I believe you are the expert of your own life. My role is to help you reconnect with your strengths, gain insight, and build tools that feel meaningful and sustainable.

At the core of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly understood. Together, we will work at a pace that feels right for you and focus on what matters most in your life.

I enjoy working with adults, teens, and children navigating anxiety, depression, emotional challenges, and life transitions, including the unique experiences of pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood… you do not have to naviagte it alone.

When I’m not sitting with clients, you’ll usually find me soaking up time outdoors, going for a run or a walk, reading, or spending time with the people I love. I also have a golden retriever and two cats who keep life fun and busy. These moments help me stay grounded and present, which is something I value bringing into the work I do with clients as well.
