Virtual Therapy & Telehealth Counseling

Support When You Need It

Sometimes the biggest barrier to therapy is not wanting help. It is finding the time, energy, transportation, childcare, or emotional bandwidth to get through the door.

Virtual therapy allows you to meet with your therapist from a private space that feels comfortable and familiar. No commute. No waiting room. No trying to casually recover from crying in the parking lot before driving home.

Whether you live farther from one of our offices, have a packed schedule, experience chronic illness or pain, care for children or family members, or simply feel more comfortable talking from your own space, telehealth can make therapy feel more accessible.

Online therapy is still real therapy. You and your therapist meet face-to-face through a secure video platform and work toward the same goals you would address in person. You can process difficult experiences including trauma, understand patterns, build coping skills, strengthen relationships, and work toward deeper healing—possibly while wearing your favorite sweatpants.

Can Virtual Therapy Really Be Effective?

Yes. For many people, telehealth can be just as meaningful and effective as meeting in an office.

The most important part of therapy is not the couch, the room, or whether someone remembered to refill the tissue box. It is the safety, trust, and connection you build with your therapist.

Some people even find it easier to be open when they are in their own environment. Being at home may help you feel more grounded, less overwhelmed, and better able to care for yourself after a difficult session.

Virtual therapy may be helpful for concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, burnout, grief, life transitions, relationship concerns, ADHD, chronic illness, parenting stress, and substance use or recovery support.

Your therapist will work with you to determine whether telehealth is the right fit. Some concerns may be better supported through in-person care, additional services, or a higher level of treatment.

How Does Telehealth Work?

Before your appointment, you will receive a secure link through our electronic health record system. You can join from a computer, tablet, or phone with a reliable internet connection.

You must be physically located in Wisconsin during your appointment. We also ask that you choose a private space where you can speak openly and safely. Headphones can be helpful if your walls are thin, your family is curious, or your pets believe every video call is actually about them.

You do not need a perfect home office. A quiet bedroom, parked car, or private corner can work if you feel safe and able to talk.

How Can Peace of Mind Wellness Help?

At Peace of Mind Wellness, we believe therapy should fit into real life—not require you to rearrange your entire life just to receive support.

Our therapists provide warm, collaborative, trauma-informed virtual therapy for clients throughout Wisconsin. We understand that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you are already overwhelmed. You do not need to have the right words, know exactly what is wrong, or feel completely ready.

You simply need a place to begin.

Let us help you find a path toward healing that feels accessible, flexible, and a little more manageable.
