Leigha Perlewitz, LCSW

Appleton

Hello! My name is Leigha, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I believe the therapeutic relationship is built on trust, collaboration, growth, and authenticity. Above all, I feel honored to walk alongside my clients on their healing journey. I believe that everyone has the capacity for healing and creating lasting, positive change.

I have a Master of Social Work with a concentration in trauma-informed care from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and I provide mental health therapy to individuals across the lifespan (5+). I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults and seniors. I have experience in a variety of different treatment settings including suicide prevention, community-based mental health in various community organizations, and non-profit outpatient mental health.

My primary areas of clinical interest and treatment include those who have experienced trauma, sexual and domestic violence, C-PTSD, infertility and reproductive trauma, relationships, and those experiencing difficult life transitions.

I use a variety of different clinical interventions in my practice including play therapy, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Brainspotting, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). My approach is trauma-informed, person-centered, and focused on treating each unique individual.

Outside of work you will often find me being fully present as a mom to my three children who are 16, 14, and 6 months, reading a new romantasy novel, traveling or planning a trip, or watching my teenage daughter competitively dance.

I look forward to getting to know you and being a part of your healing journey!
